i salvaged some 3ds sliders for the audio and im trying to use them in my N64 portable. could anyone try shed some light in what would possibly be the way to connect this to a mono speaker. i already tried to 2 tiny points and the start and end.. and 1 of them is influenced by the slider on ressistance.

At least one of those end pins goes straight to ground. I'm guessing, the slider uses resistance to control the volume, so grab a multimeter and start probing for values, moving the slider to see if the value changes. You've got two easy to reach points on the front of that slider there, I'm guessing on the back too, so that might be where you want to start. Them of course once you've found that part out, connect the output from the audio amp to the slider, then the speakers to the output from the slider. Less resistance, more volume. This is just a theory, of course, but it would be nifty to see in a portable...
What Mammoth MK II said is quite accurate, I work with audio equipment quite often, and that is about how it works. the only issue with that is the voltage coming out of the amp, if the voltage is more than the slider can handle, it will easily arc through it. that being said, the voltage is most likely not going to be an issue.
Edit: More than likely, the two pins in the middle are for left and right audio. and the outer ones are probably both ground. but I don't know for sure.
