Thread title says it: what is the current state of your projects? I'm sure everyone is curious how far along your portable is whether it means you're waiting on paint to dry or just ordered parts.
NOTE: This thread is NOT intended to replace any worklogs. If you have any substantial updates to a specific project, please post them in your worklogs.
-Yarn Yoshis: Currently have 2 Yoshis made; an all white test Yoshi and original green. I've started working on a purple one for my wife but I've kind of lost interest in this project. I'll keep going until I'm done though. I've made the head piece, the nose, and started on the body. I'm still going to make a blue one someday, but I may switch projects before doing that one.
-"Sail" wind arrangement: Music is all written. Just need to record it. I may end up using virtual instruments in Garageband because the acoustics in my house suck. All of my microphones suck. My recording equipment (i.e. a laptop running Windows 7) sucks.
-Other, mystery/not a mystery wind arrangement: Same as above.
-Apple Pi: Retropie portable in an iphone 5C box. Currently in the "design" phase, but I plan to start building it as soon as I'm done with purple Yoshi.
Currently playing: Skyrim VR, Skylanders 3DS You can call me Dr. Fibb
-3D Printed Pi Zero Portable. I have the case design sort of in mind. Not much in specifics yet other than it'll be better than fibbef's. -Gameboy Pocket Pi Zero Portable. If theluthier can fit a Pi 3 in there I should be able to slap in a Zero with reletively little issue. Got a lot of Pocket Cases from breaking a more than my share of LCD's trying to backlight them (worst LCD ribbon cable placement ever). -DS Lite GBA DS (Black) keeping the top hinge holders so I have to 3D Print a piece for that and try to fit a speaker in there. -DS Lite GBA DS (metallic Rose) same as above but going to add in more color because I can't replicate that color, so maybe Purple? -Original DS GBA DS (titanium): Top removed, GBA mode works but the front of the case shattered when taking it apart. Wanted to 3D print a new one but will probably just order a replacement case (looking at red. Unfortunately no clear). -Original DS GBA DS (metallic blue): Next on the list after finishing the one above. Hopefully better luck disassembling because I really like the blue color. -Overclocked GBC: in a clear case, painted the inside for the "inverted" paint job. Red Top, White Bottom (pokeball). Having trouble with the overclock speed (16mhz) as it won't switch down to 8mhz or 8mhz won't switch up to 16, but will work if booting in that mode. Will rewire and see what the issue is. -Underclocked GBC: Painted like an NES, need to add in the switch for 8mhz. -Nomad Jr 3D printed GOAC: Need to ABS Goop parts together and add the parts in. -Flashback 2 Top loading cart commission: Just need to wire up the cart slot to the mainboard. -Flashback 2 Front loading cart commission: 3D printed all the supports and etc this weekend, just need to attach them to the case and the cart slot. -"Super" NES, Super Nintendo in an NES case: Need to 3D print different cart slot supports to have a place to screw in the hinges into, and add in something to simulate the "click" of the games going in and pressing down. Back port (Power, A/V, S-Video etc) needs to be ABS goop'd in place for extra support. -NES 80's NEStop: ugh. -3D Printed SNESp recasing: From the FC16go, you can somehow completely negate the top controller board and use the just the smaller one. Can't find the guide anymore (pictures imageshack'd) so we'll see. Case would be grey and purple of course. -PSP 1001 recasing: Have a neat clear/yellow PSP case to trying to fix my old PSP (case was completely FUBAR). Accidentally tore off one of the LCD traces on the motherboard so have to get another one, once I find a motherboard cheap enough. -Wii Portable: Premiium Wiimiium Memeiium. Got a trimmed Wii from Shockslayer, working slowly on designing and 3D printing a purposefully obnoxious case. -A/V modded Genesis: I did this a while ago with leftover jacks from 3.5" screens. Did a terrible job; jacks don't like up and only did Mono Sound, and secured the jacks with hot glue. What was I thinking? Anyway, going to remove all that, 3D print a new plate and add and A/V 3.5" plug, S-Video, etc. Probably put Y/R/W in there too, why not. Will also beef up the sound cause IIRC you can make all the models sound as good as the OG "High Definition Graphics" NOSS model. -Gamegear console: Been saying I wanted to do a GGTV for ages but haven't ordered the part yet cause of Australia shipping. That was years ago and would have been like tenfold. Almost pulled the trigger last Sunday but the $18AUS Shipping backed me out of it. One day...
Time for me to post the state of my projects that are spoken of on the forum. From oldest thread to newest: Gamecube controller to everything - need to see if I have the parts, if I do ill make the gamecube to n64 one. Gameboy Color Advance - I need to totally rebuild the case, I will most likely do it eventually, but not any time soon. Macintosh IISI on the net - I can play zork on it, which is cool, but I think I need a too/ip stack installed. Portable Gamecube - needs another gamecube unless I can resurect an old one, I'll try soon to get one back from the dead. Game Boy Mega 2.0 - the ds I used is not reading games... I may hack another to finish the project.
Many things to look into, if I don't do theese, I don't know what I'll do.
